The Mitsubishi Raider pickup truck is a product from Mitsubishi Motors that was introduced in 2005. The Mitsubishi Raider filled a gap in the Mitsubishi lineup since its former pickup the Might Max was discontinued in 1996. Mitsubishi partnered with Chrysler in the US for its manufacturing. When the Mitsubishi Raider was retired after the 2009 model year the vehicle was the only pickup available with the Mitsubishi brand. The Raider’s styling was in keeping with other Mitsubishi products that feature distinctive visual elements. Some critics of the vehicle faulted the V6 engine as being too weak for the required utility of the vehicle. Competing pickups in its class include the Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma.
